I believe it's time for us to recognize these individuals as "THE INFLUENCERS" of Malaysia instead
Imagine having so many incredibly talented people in Malaysia, yet many are still unaware of their existence
Why do you think it's so hard for Malaysians to admire intellectuals?

so cool to see many workshops using ai coding agents happening in kl. but i think the approach we have right now is kinda off. there’s a huge wave of people building apps without knowing how to code, stuck in their own bubble, but they come up with brilliant ideas.
then there’s the tech bros, people who actually understand how these tools work and can code well, but stay far from the ones who really know the problems that need solving.
Calling CFOs and CAs in KL. (recommend if you know one)
On October 13rd im bringing together a select group of finance leaders and practitioners for an intimate dinner conversation. We’re hosting this evening together with some other tech leaders in accounting & finance.
If you're someone who
> tried to build an AI wrapper
> didn't build the AI wrapper
> hasn't shipped a 50k MRR SaaS
> never asked out your high school crush
you might want to ship faster.
So we're hosting an AI bootcamp with @boltdotnew.
Pull up if you're in KL.

Had a great time today, thanks to everyone who came!
Events are also one of the best ways to get early adopters fast. People see you, believe in what you’re doing, and want to support.
One thing we noticed: the quicker we try to wrap things up, the more questions pop up. So it’s better to keep it compact!
This Friday we’re hosting a small meet-up: Curiosity & Consciousness. Kept small on purpose! more value, real convos!
Speakers:
🚗 .@itingting_k – plug-and-play self-driving kit
♻️ Yanni – turning biowaste into value with black soldier fly larvae
Not about what they’re building too much, but why. What drives curiosity, and what happens when you build with (or without) consciousness.
We’ll keep it short and sweet so we can focus on what matters most, connecting with others and asking questions!
Also got satay weyy
BTW, quick shoutout, PACE Bootcamp is now open for Cohort 2 applications.
We joined last year right after officially incorporating our company. Back then, we were pretty clueless about the startup playbook but this program helped us a lot in understanding what it really takes to lead a company: from product development and legal/finance to marketing. They even have a demo day.
We ended up being one of the Top 3 startups out of 30 in our cohort.
Some of the things we received:
> 6 months of sponsored co-working space
> A warm intro to a VC in Singapore — we pitched, and we actually got funded!
> Mentorship and support from Artem (one of their portfolio founders)
> Featured on BFM, thanks to the intro from Artem
> Plus other small perks that helped us keep running and growing
The program is completely free, and I heard they’re improving it even more for Cohort 2.
You don’t have to quit your job, you can do it concurrently, and it might just open your eyes to whether starting your own company is for you.
And if you’ve already started something, even better this will definitely help you level up : )

used Comet to gen an invoice w/ our app.. kinda struggled at first. UX wasn’t clear to the AI, so it went trial/error mode. took a bit.
but when the invoice had been issued before, it went full g.o.a.t mode. filled everything in sec (i can't even see it), downloaded it, sent it out.. sometimes w/o even asking me.
we designed the flow (the app) for humans, just 3 steps, super clear, anyone can fill in the invoice under a min. but for agents, if it’s a fresh task, they take longer. feels less useful on 1st try. We prob need to rethink this : )
and still dunno why it skips approval on some runs. prob need to prompt it earlier like “gimme a review before sending.
You see the future.
well done .@AravSrinivas a really amazing product, didn’t expect this agentic browser could handle that kind of task. and it’s only gonna get better.
On the side, me and @MattKamil started @qiub_io ’cause we felt like a lot of founders are being ignored not ’cause they’re not good, but ’cause they’re just not visible enough for Malaysians to notice or support.
So we started making content to shout out smart people building cool stuff or founders with exceptional backgrounds who deserve more spotlight.
But over time, things started mixing up. So now while Qiub stays as the media side, we’re doubling down on three things:
-Commercialisation
(Trinovate Lab) Matt’s building a company inside the ecosystem to bring amazing research to life turn ideas into actual ventures.
-Funding (Ninetieve Capital)
We’re setting up a small fund through an angel syndicate. Right now just scouting good founders and connecting them with angels.
-Community (maybe called Thinker Bubbles?)
A space for researchers doing deep work. Might do the first meetup in August :)
It’s gonna be a longggg ride
