In a recent study with 640 Kenyan entrepreneurs, @nickgotis tested how AI advice affects business performance. He found that high performers saw a 15% profit increase with AI help, while low performers' profits fell by 8%.

🌟 Grantee spotlight: In February 2023, @nickgotis was part of the @spc-@AgencyFund Social Impact Fellowship. A year later, his team has published a paper and is planning to scale the research.

The researchers developed an AI “mentor” for Kenyan entrepreneurs using GPT-4, which can be accessed through WhatsApp, to help them exert more agency.

On May 30th, we will co-host a journal club with @KabakooLabs and ProjectTech4Dev to discuss the findings of the field experiment.
