We met with the village chief and many lovely farming families in Tugu village yesterday, where they gracefully allowed our partners @ADRAIntl@asarefi17 to take valuable 🌽 measurements in their farms during the past maize growing season.
Recently the @Gssti_Gaec organised a workshop on using Earth observation for #CropMonitoring together with project partners @ucl and the UK and China Agricultural University. Thanks to the speakers @prof_plewis, @qlwu, Professor Xuecao Li, Mr Kofi Asare, and Dr Dilys MacCarthy.
Calling all mentors! We are collaborating with @africwomeningis for the Fourth Cohort Mentorship to support African #women to grow and develop their skills in their geospatial careers. Registrations have been extended to April 11th.

The whole session of yesterday’s “Earth Information Day - UK perspective” can be replayed here: https://t.co/G14upKNI88…, if anyone interested in using satellites / Earth Observation to help with CC adaptation & mitigation. #UCLGenerationOne @SustainableUCL @COP26@UCLgeography
Honored and looking forward to be speaking tomorrow jointly with @prof_plewis at the #COP26 to present our collaborative work in China and Ghana. Hope it will help make some small difference to world food security. #UCLGenerationOne@UCLgeography @SustainableUCL @NCEOscience
“For Western Africa the location of croplands in 2019 cover Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cote d’lvoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.” Let’s give it a try @prof_plewis @Pepucho666 @marcollinbobo
We're excited to announce the release of the provisional cropland extent service now available on the #DEAfrica map for East and West Africa.
Learn more in our latest blog about the service and it’s potential for monitoring and #FoodSecurity mitigation.

It’s so wonderful to see our Ghanaian partners @asarefi17 being able to measure crop parameters in the field with equipment funded by #NewtonPrize@NewtonFund, despite us not being able to go in person. @UCLgeography @prof_plewis @Pepucho666 @marcollinbobo
