Then, I remembered: The Bible was written in the throes of oppressive power, in the middle of collapse.
So we live the same message: Love your God. Love your neighbor. Love yourself. Period.
So often trans people enter into a world where we experience joy, happiness, and beauty.
And very quickly we learn that in that same world, our lives and futures are at risk.
It’s this strange tension we all exist in. Basking in the beauty while trying to ward off the fear.

There is no amount of research that will suffice for the politicians banning gender-affirming care. They don't ban this care because it's untested or ineffective (which it isn't). They want to ban it because its purpose is keeping trans people alive and it works.
