If you are building an application using Planet’s APIs you should check out our new SDK. Reduces friction when getting started and you’ll benefit from all our future improvements!
Announcing the 2.0 release of our Python SDK! V2 abstracts out the details of interacting with Planet’s APIs. The new no-code CLI makes interaction with Planet APIs easy—so you can focus on actually using the data! https://t.co/va7S5NZaG2
@mouthofmorrison@planet has open positions for software engineers, EMs, PMs, and more to build the Earth Data Platform. You can read about what we’re up to in the thread below and find positions at https://t.co/0ofh5xjM7B

I am thrilled to share Planet’s North Star - a look back at our last 10 years and a guiding vision for our next 10. 🌎🚀🌟
Read our vision in full from @schingler & me: https://t.co/gCM9tFQwPx
Quick summary here!
@mouthofmorrison @TIBoundless @wnordmann @bitnerd We did make something similar after a few beers at FOSS4G NA in Raleigh, but it was https://t.co/TRObH2nzM3 not dot com. More story there I can share over beers at the next FOSS4G.
@mouthofmorrison The platform one person provides is the infrastructure the next one uses and goes like that all the way up/down the chain. It’s all just a point of view.
@issackelly I set up a few of these around the house. Running a few different versions of the hats (including the ou zero one) and speakers of varying quality. FOSS package, supports AirPlay 2. No maintenance. Would do it again. https://t.co/uBG0Srwr5e
My very first day at Planet we were shipping out satellites and I got to be in the group photo before sending them out. It was an awesome feeling and three years later launch excitement hasn’t worn off!
Excited to be launching 44 SuperDoves next week!
Here's the team with them before shipping to Florida where they'll be riding a @SpaceX 🚀 to join our ~200 satellite fleet; enhancing our daily scan of 🌎!
Let's do this! @Planet 🛰️🛰️🛰️🛰️ (x11!)
@anotherjesse@mferraro89 Since it is a momentary push button, whatever is watching for the button push is probably high impedance anyway. This seems like a great use of open_drain.
@mcplanner@planet is hiring tons of engineers right now! We operate the largest constellation of earth observation satellites and use the data to make life better on earth. Lots of current use cases for climate change, like fighting deforestation https://t.co/ZRaw1syxSE happy to share more
@sgillies When I looked as these previews all I saw at first were false color satellite images. Amazing how similar nature can look from different views. Beautiful colors!
Walked out of my hotel in Austin past a ton of fans going to the OSU-UT game, my Lyft is a Chevy Silverado, and the driver has a Whataburger breakfast sandwich. I’m definitely in Texas.
@anotherjesse You got to it all before I could respond! It is mqtt, which has turned into a pretty great light weight service bus for all my home things including object detection, esp32s and fastled powered lights.
@mouthofmorrison This is very true. One of my favorite things about Planet is we have people designing all the parts of a spacecraft all the way to people designing user facing apps and the whole stack in between. Learn so much listening to coworkers.
Today, Planet announced its intention to go public via a merger with dMY Technology Group, Inc. IV. We are so proud of what we’ve accomplished over the last 10 years and are excited for what’s next. Read more about the business combination here: https://t.co/nywYGLVDWI
