@MacintoshRetro Yes it shares the structure. OWB was a ROD project. OWB doesn’t share code with Iris except using some libraries. OWB is more of a native port of WebKit 1.
A note for the #RISC_OS folks: From the History of @ARM "The first chip was delivered to Acorn (then in the building we now know as Arm2) on 26th April 1985." That means that in few months it's the 30th birthday of the #Arm2! So let's get some beers ready I guess😎
Oberon is a programming language and a system. It is a successor of Pascal and Modula.. Very strict. You can see a little "Hello World" Down to left. You start things by middle clicking on a text that is interpreted as code.. for example https://t.co/iRFmG9I7cF.
💡 Did you know? You can open paths & links from command output in Haiku’s Terminal by holding the Command key (usually ‘Alt’) and then clicking on them. (It even handles line:column suffixes!)
RISC OS Developments is pleased to announce the release of RISC OS Direct 5.31, complete with wifi and a JavaScript web browser to deliver what we believe to be the best possible experience of RISC OS on @Raspberry_Pi 4 and below.

Looks like that 2024 is "the year of free modernish browsers" on #RISC_OS :
- !Iris on RISC OS Direct from @ROD
- !OWB binaries available for download from the ROOL Forum, from @QtARM#InternetBrowsers#Web#RetoComputing
@Tom_WFS I don’t have space for it in the normal way. And I managed to destroy a riscpc because of melting feet’s. I don’t want that to happen. I might remove them someday.
@RaLassen Dunno . I haven’t seen any Kinetic 300 on eBay, probably expensive if someone decides to sell. The 300mhz version wasn’t produced in large numbers.
