Everyone's getting in on celebrating 50 years of hip hop — even @QPLNYC with its brand new, special edition #HipHop50 library card.

Great to be a part of the release party today with true hip hop legends like @VideoMusicBox and the next generation of Queens music stars.

Please join us in congratulating the amazingly talented Aunjanue Ellis on her Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Oracene Price in “King Richard.” Ellis was formerly a member of the North Manhattan Chapter here in the Eastern Region. #DST1913

We need an Attorney General who will stand up to anyone who harms New Yorkers, no matter how powerful they might be.

Attorney General @TishJames has the courage and experience to deliver for NY. I am proud to endorse her for re-election. #TeamTish

Sunday I stopped by the Carleton Manor @NYCHA housing in Far Rockaway. Some folks have not had hot water since November!

I heard about this in a Zoom call w/some Southeast Queens residents and @JSandersNYC on Saturday and said I would stop by and try and shine a light on this.

[Tom Suozzi @Tom_Suozzi]

While there I observed a door in the lobby that won’t close - it’s 30 degrees out and the door won’t close! Bad management!

[Tom Suozzi @Tom_Suozzi]

It’s outrageous that people would have to live with no hot water for such a long period. I spoke to parents with infants and toddlers and grown men who can’t take a hot shower after a long day of work.

It is with great sorrow that Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. shares the passing of our beloved National President and Chair of the National Board of Directors, Cheryl A. Hickmon. President Hickmon transitioned peacefully on January 20, 2022 after a recent illness.

@billmaher Lift Every Voice and Sing written by James Weldon and Rosamond Johnson in 1919 is the anthem adopted by Black Americans. Written when this country was legally segregated. Not new to us. However, new to you. I do not appreciate the comments made by you on your show.

❓How do you feel about the current lines of your district? Impact to your family, schools, community
❓What would you like the @NYS_IRC to know about your community?
❓Could new lines improve or alter your community?

As you discussed in civics class—the U.S. House of Representatives currently has 435 voting members. (District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands have non-voting delegates—for now). #ReDSTricting
