@UMC_CommonSense I voted 50-75%, but I admit I have less hope than that. I think full inclusion will be sacrificed for regionalization. I support both, but grieve we will once again be asking queer kin to wait. My whole lifetime we’ve been saying “just wait a little longer…”
@GlobalMChurch@MethodistView Hey cool! I’ll just find a GMC church to say I’m a member so I can go vote! WCA says it’s not interference if you have concerns about institutional oppression. Or does that not seem like a reasonable way you to conduct myself…🧐🤔
Is this garbage how you justify the number of WCA/GMC members who are still attending general conference as delegates? Stop interfering under there guise of “prayer” and “hope”. Just go.
Prayer: “Pray for UMC” We are being called to go back to the UMC to see who is crying out “Help us. Don’t forsake us.” Who do you know in the UMC that you must pray for and help to find hope.

Not Guilty on all charges, which I expected/feared. I'm going to sit with it before saying more. My clergy and church friends are reaching out in collective pain and uncertainty for what is next. I want to witness and support that before saying more. #CarcañoTrial
@PlainSpokenPod Declining to charge ministers with the “crime” of being gay, doesn’t mean we don’t support using the BOD to charge misconduct that does not align with jurisdictional/Christian values. I get the argument that it is “silly,” but I also trust you are smart enough to see the nuance.
@PomegranateMom You as well! That's why I started writing up a storm...I thought more people should be talking about it! I appreciate reading your thoughts too.
Bishop Carcaño is a gifted communicator, and it is easy to see why anyone would feel satisfied with the reasoning behind her leadership decisions while listening to her. But here are some things I notice that give me pause. #CarcañoTrial
@PlainSpokenPod Thank you! I agree about when apologies are appropriate, but I also think there is room for empathy, validation of feelings and experience, and connection, even when you don't think you have done something wrong. And the Bishop didn't even offer that.
@PlainSpokenPod@PomegranateMom It all sounds very muddled and unclear. However we do know her pregnancy and new family was a major topic of discussion in the cabinet (Bishop says so they could make sure she is supported, but…). So I do believe the Bishop said things she shouldn’t have.
