Finding details of pension deductions from 1980s is not easy.

My assertion has always been, without EBTs, most contractors, would've made maximum pension contributions.

Here's an idea for the budget.
Impose a levy/tarrif/tax on BRITISH orgs (especially public sector & partially state owned enterprises) offshoring BRITISH jobs e.g.

Apply same principle to procurement
Abolish #IR35

Their UK divisions will bid for sub-contract roles in real UK companies then hire staff in India, to ship over.
They can then undercut, UK workers by the NI margin.

@daveatherton Re Indian Free Trade Deal. The NI rules only apply to Indian companies in India, who send temporary workers to the UK for Indian Businesses, and not Indians on Work Visas being hired by UK businesses.

Not just manufacturing jobs need to be repatriated. Time to tax offshored jobs &/ give tax break/subsidy to keep jobs in UK & money recirculating in UK economy.
