At @Sibos Miami this year, Quant and @Capgemini will be running a joint demo showing how agentic AI can handle the liquidity work that #treasury teams deal with day-to-day.

The demo walks through two treasury shortfalls, one small enough for the agent to fix on its own and one large enough that recommends a funding action and waits for human approval before Quant moves the money using #tokeniseddeposits.

The agent can weigh balances, currencies and market conditions together in a way fixed rules can't, while manual approval thresholds keep the larger decisions with those accountable.

Moving funds as tokenised deposits also means transfers can happen around the clock, with the reconciliation visible on screen from the initial recommendation through to the final balances.

Quant built the tokenised deposit issuance, workflow and policy engine, while @Capgemini engineered the liquidity alerts, agent decisioning and approval experience.

Scaling #tokenisation depends on moving cash and asset together.

Our new paper with Murex shows how #programmablesettlement synchronises cash and asset movement within existing workflows.

A ledger records what moved. It rarely records why. That gap is where banks will earn on #tokeniseddeposits.

Our new whitepaper 'Above the Ledger' by our Chief Commercial Officer, Lenna Russ, shows how banks can commercialise them.

Big news: Quant is partnering with @TCHtweets to bring on-chain, #programmablemoney to the US.

We will provide the interoperability layer that lets #tokeniseddeposits move freely within the regulated banking system.

This builds on our work in the UK, Europe and beyond.

#OnChainMoneyInitiative

[Quant @quantnetwork]

UK banks have completed the first live customer transactions using tokenised sterling deposits, and they ran on the #GBTD platform built by Quant.

Delivered through the Great British Tokenised Deposit initiative, convened by @UKFtweets with @Barclays, @HSBC_UK, @LloydsBank, @monzo, @Nationwide, @NatWestGroup and @santanderuk, the transactions included:

➡️ Two remortgage completions, with funds locked and released automatically at completion
➡️ A marketplace purchase from a private seller, with payment released only once the goods were exchanged

Payments that execute the moment agreed conditions are met give customers more control and can help reduce fraud. More pilots are expected in the coming months, including digital asset settlement.

We're proud to have built the shared infrastructure behind this milestone, alongside @UKFtweets, the participating banks, @EYnews and Linklaters.

Every settlement demo you'll see at @Sibos ends the same way, but ours doesn't.

One week today, on the Discover Stage, we will be running a live repo against a tokenised bond in Murex's MX.3, powered by Quant's orchestration layer, then killing it mid-execution. What happens next is the point: full rollback, no state change, no unwind.

Central banks, commercial banks, and payment infrastructures have invested in new rails and standards. Yet settlement still lags behind messaging.

Most #crossborderpayments settle sequentially, leg one, then leg two, with a gap between them where risk, cost, and failed settlement can creep in.

Synchronised settlement closes that gap. Both legs settle together, or neither does.

In this article, we break down why this is a coordination problem, not a capability problem, and what live deployments across the UK, Europe, and Latin America already prove is possible: https://t.co/H12RIQySKe

Tokenised deposits are moving past the pilot stage.

Three use cases keep showing up across banks in the UK, Europe and North America, and none require new principal risk or stepping outside the existing regulatory perimeter.

[Quant @quantnetwork]

This week, @UKFtweets and @OliverWyman published a report 'Building Digital Markets of the Future,' setting out how the UK can build deep, liquid #tokenisedmarkets across the full lifecycle.

The report points to industry momentum: progress on the DIGIT sovereign debt instrument, growing engagement from the FCA and Bank of England, strong participation in the Digital Securities Sandbox, and innovations like the Great British Tokenised Deposit.

The message is clear and the foundations are in place, the priority now is turning that progress into execution.

This is exactly the space that Quant operates in, helping build the #settlement and orchestration infrastructure that lets #tokeniseddeposits and #digitalassets move efficiently and securely across the financial system. Reports like this reinforce why that work matters and why the UK has a genuine opportunity to lead.

What are #programmablepayments?

In simple terms, programmable payments are automated payments that are triggered when certain conditions are met.

While many systems today offer a version of automated payments, like standing orders or direct debits, programmable payments go much further. They allow for greater customisation, like paying only when a service is delivered or when your account balance hits a certain level.

In this article, we’ll delve deeper into the benefits of #programmability and what it means for businesses and consumers alike: https://t.co/rezgJv22nB
