Lutheranism is the only I really saw that had the consistency of saying “it was Christ at your baptism, it is Christ in your repentance, it is Christ for you, always.”

One of the things that compelled me to Confessional Lutheranism was that it was really the only place that offers the same fullness of grace for repentance that we experience in Baptism for the rest of Christian life.

In all my study, I couldn’t shake this feeling that most (if not all) other expressions have some catch, some caveat, some rule, that amounts to “ok, you were the prodigal and Christ saved you- now the meter’s running kid.” As if that grace has become contingent.

It’s actually not that hard or burdensome. You sort of follow it by accident if you just use Scriptural reasoning.

No idea why they act publicly as though it’s some burdensome thing.

I keep seeing Roman Catholics wearing their *allegedly* offensive sex ethic as a badge of honor because it causes so many people to leave Rome (no idea if this is true or just anecdotal cope which is more likely).

I follow the Romanist rules better than 80% of Catholics.
