@Schandillia Nope! They are the same!Abuse, vulgarity, cheapness - they do not have any objective 'degree' and no one gets to decide if one is better than the other based on their personal biases! Once you decide to go down that road, have the balls to take it on the chin as well!
@NeoRanjha@KartikeyaBatra If you are referring to this, its not 'calling out stupidity". It is carefully worded precisely to avoid calling Gard 'stupid'.Similar to what that fraud Kaushik Basu did where he said 'I haven't analysed the data in details' for plausible deniability😂https://t.co/huLa9V8OUW
Not a big fan of the said journalist. But to be clear, if a series is revised, it is not advisable to compare a number from the current series (Q1, 2026-27) against a number from a different series (the unrevised Q1, 2025-26 figure). How the base year revision happened can be debated but a revised series number being compared against a number from the old series is statistically inappropriate.
@vs_trader@mainbhiengineer 1.Yes I know that U think only numbers are data and text are not. Like it's 2015 🤡
2.historical data for new series is released with a lag.Standard practise globally.Irrelevant for the debate around Q1 FY27
3.Nope! Volumes first and then current prices!
https://t.co/pOhP650ubH
@vs_trader@mainbhiengineer 1. Lol.I know reading 'words' hurts your head 😂
2. Reconciliation is provided for new series.Mospi will release longer history later. All practising economists familiar with it.Its a standard global practice
3.Main reason for the drop is double-deflation, as suggested by IMF
@vs_trader@mainbhiengineer 1. Read the press release to know what was changed
2. Just like the company a country also continues to preserve the old nos. Adjustments are done only for YoY comparison
3. Why drop of ₹6T in new series is a fair question. Saying it was done to prop up current nos is stupid 🤡
@saketh1998@nsitharaman please increase STT more so that we are spared these endless stream of illiterate takes by these 'traders', who can't even do basic google search!
@saketh1998 1. Q1 FY25-26 official nominal GDP is not ₹86 T! 🤡
It was revised to ~₹80T back on Feb27 this year, when the methodology revision happened
https://t.co/UU4Rb03fNf
2. If we contd with old methodology, Q1 FY26-27 would not have been ₹88.27 T!
3. How are 'traders' this dumb? 🤦
@NotProsaicview "corrected it only now" 🤡
the downwardly revised Q1 2025 GDP data (≈80 T) was released on Feb27, 2026!
https://t.co/UU4Rb03fNf
So eager to vomit opinions! Can't even do basic Google search 💩
@anuragsingh_as He literally just explained that the 'problem' in methodology was base year that was stuck in 2011-12, and couldn't be updated in 2021-22 bcoz they were not 'normal' years! How is a so called 'Value Investor' this dumb 🤦
@1shankarsharma Yes! this is indeed very 'credible'! 'Real feel' is like 'freedom of speech with reasonable restriction' in our constituion!Nobody knows what exactly is 'reasonable'!So everyone (including Gov) gets to interpret it based on their agenda and 'feels' 😆
@BandiShreyas 2 years of bear market has really started impacting mental health of "traders & investors" 😂
Contrary to my earlier belief, this class are proving to be more inept about basic maths/logic/data that economists themselves 🤡
@PunishedKebbin India's economic growth during UPA 1&2 was mogged by pretty much every EM countries 🤡
While growth under NDA 2&3 was lower on avg, India still grew faster than majority of the EMs in a more difficult global environment (1 pandemic + 3 major wars + globalization backsliding)
