@cjcapone85 @CalifanSD @SD_Comic_Con @Fronkensteen I had a similar hotels in my list (MMM, Hilton Gaslamp), but marriott gaslamp was my 3rd choice which I got (and 2 bed at that), and I entered the form at 9:01:03 am. Does mean that you literally have to be in <1min to get the big ones.

@Sema11752592 @KChartstours Capacity is also dictated by stage position and layout, it won't be equal or be close to max capacity of the venue (unless they do a stage in the middle like Ed Sheeran or KCon)

One comment noted this may partially because public funding has not entered the picture yet (and even if this happened not guaranteed that Southwest would jump into the picture)

@kilojoule_kj @boutros555 @AstorAaron @RichardWWard1 I do hope that Cali still works out despite the issues, as it is being built right now (unlike Texas); I also think there may be other issues not apparent that may require tweaks for the Brightline model to work elsewhere (like what they're doing with west).

@kilojoule_kj @boutros555 @AstorAaron @RichardWWard1 I mainly responded to you because you lumped in Texas HSR with California HSR, conflating the issues that Texas HSR has had as being equal to California HSR because of "government", which is not the case. I am all for other models that may work, including the Brightline model.

@kilojoule_kj @boutros555 @AstorAaron @RichardWWard1 I would argue that only Cali HSR has a lot more govt involvement, while Texas HSR and Brightline are a lot more similar (though Texas HSR still has yet to materialize of course). And Brightline west is also seeking more "government funding" as well.

All in all I feel transit can help, but isn't the cure all esp with outside factors
