Anne Eunson decided to knit herself a fence using twine. The same kind that is used to make fishing nets. knitted on specially adapted curtain rods. It took about 3 weeks to knit enough lace to surround her front garden, using a 23 stitch repeat of familiar Shetland lace pattern.

Heard an NPR report that “a host of staffing issues” was contributing to flight delays.

At first I thought they’d said “stabbing issues.”

Says something about my view of The State of the World (US in particular) that I hadn’t found the shabby version terribly surprising.

I spent a lovely day yesterday with The Cobbler’s Boy, many thanks to @matociquala and @pennyvixen! Kit Marlowe captured my heart. (It’s a treat when you find something in your library you’d forgotten having bought, and it happens to be The Perfect Thing for that day and mood.)

I have such a hard time making myself sweep away a handsome stretch of cobwebs.
The ones in the doorway are great, they extend about 14” into the bedroom.
It always distresses me when people stringing fake cobwebs leave them thick and clumpy.
