"Fat bodies in horror tend to be expendable as ‘deserved’ victims or to provide another level of repulsion to an antagonist."
@queenbeastsays takes a look at how fat people are typically portrayed in horror movies in Fat as a Death Sentence in Horror.

Donald Trump, a self-confessed sexual assaulter, being named Time's Person of the Year over Gisele Pelicot, who was drugged & raped by her husband & 100 men for YEARS, and who waived anonymity to change the world for women, shows you exactly why women are rightly fucking ANGRY.
Shaun of the Dead is celebrating 20 years this year. A possible perfect film and some interesting fat representation makes for a fab episode with my guest @scaredsheepless

I know everyone is going to wear the yellow coat and massive sunglasses from The Substance this Halloween
But I would love some fat Sues too. A real fuck you the beauty standard.
The Substance made me feel a lot of feelings and I my latest ep exploring this film and how it encouraged me to reflect on my own relationship with body image and recovery from disordered eating.
Thanks @TryTheSubstance and @coraliefargeat

I have just seen someone say that maybe The Substance is just a fun body horror flick and nothing more…
The Substance is not a subtle movie but I fear the people who should be hearing the messages the most are the ones where it went right over their head.
I watched Hill House on my own in one night. My partner then came home 2 days later and we watched it all that night.
Just one of these pieces of art would be a crowning jewel in anyone’s career.
Utterly brilliant TV.
