HOW TO STAY YOUNG TOGETHER IN MARRIAGE: (We've been married 38 years) ...
1. Avoid stressing each other.
2. Put boundaries between you and everyone else, don't let anyone interfere with your bond.
3. Work out together. Taking care of your body sends a message of love to your spouse.
4. Enjoy love making while your age still can.
5. Laugh, crack jokes, be silly together.
6. Find a church or place you can serve together and bless lives as a team. Love is built on activity.
7. Keep upgrading your wardrobe. Wear clothes that make you feel alive. Don't age yourself through fashion.
8. Play games: cards, board games, indoor games and outdoor games.
9. Touch each other or massage each other. Enjoy the sense of touch.
10. Let sleep be sacred. Go to bed on time, have pillow talks, close each night well, sleep sufficiently.
11. Worship together as a couple. It rejuvenates your spirit.
12. Avoid couples and individuals with a toxic spirit, they will pull you down.
13. Eat right. Invest in good food and share meals together.
14. Take time to chill once in awhile, go for vacations as a couple. Don't let your life be all about work and responsibilities.
15. Find fun activities to do together like traveling, karaoke or dancing. Have a good time.
16. Stay with a young mentality. Keep learning, bond with your children/grandchildren, learn something new as often as possible.
Next September, 2027 at this exact time, you will be standing in the places you used to dream about. Living your most beautiful rich life. Send this to yourself.

I was sent out of Canada
Yes that’s why I came back home a few months ago
Yep, you read that right.
So I came into Canada with a spousal open work permit. And when it was about to expire, we applied for an extension.
And we were just about our business waiting for the extension to come out only for us to get a rejection mail. This came at a crucial time as there was a change of government and rapid immigration policy changes.
Omo, everywhere first blur. Premium tears everywhere
We did not see it coming at all. And I had a few days to leave the country ASAP.
My husband wanted to start running around seeing how to appeal the rejection without me leaving but I just told him “babe let’s leave it. I’ll go.”
I was not sure what God was doing but I trusted Him. And so I came back to Nigeria.
I went about my Fathers business like nothing dey sup. Trusting the one who has called me.
Then the dots began to connect.
Then came Covabodi festival. You know how that went to the glory of God
Then came brand ambassadorial roles.
If I tell you the other things God helped me achieve in this trip ehn, you’ll open your mouth in wonder.
Like, I began to understand that Canada did not send me away. God brought me back to carry out specific assignments.
One morning we woke up and I got a email.
“Congratulations Deborah, you’re now a permanent resident of Canada”
Yup. You’re looking at the latest Canadian permanent resident.
When I flew into Canada last week, I bounced in there like a madam.
I’m sharing this testimony to let you know that you need to trust God completely with your life.
You see that scripture that says all things work together for good? I need you to believe it with everything inside of you
Your wedding plans scattered? It’s working for your good
They served you breakfast? It’s working for your good
You did not get that opportunity? It’s working for your good.
Be pro-active, play your part, send in the application, do all that you should do and leave the rest to God
You may not see what God is doing in the moment, but as long as you’re faithfully serving and following God, just trust Him.
The dots will connect
And you will look and say “oh, Father so this is what you had in mind.”
Celebrate with me jare. God don run am🥳🥳
PS: Peep my resident card🥰
Blessings!
This gave me chills. The entire room is completely destroyed, the console is literally melted, but the pages inside the Bible are perfectly intact.
Everything else can burn away, but the Word stands forever. Truly a miracle. ❤️🙌
Blessing Obasi and Adeniyi Johnson is superb. Both actors absolutely killed their roles,it all felt so real.
And can we talk about that baby? 😂 That’s the calmest baby I’ve ever seen in my life. See how they were shouting over her head and she just stayed calm.
My son would have scattered the whole set with tears. 🤣
This won't trend coz these kids are not displaying immoralities while signing out. But rather, chose to sign out by having a sweet fellowship with Jesus!...
I can't wait to see them do exploits for Jesus in their diverse institutions.
We'll raise children that will burn for JESUS! ✝️
I know a number of people who didn’t marry their “spec” but are in the healthiest marriages I know. Their spec was typically whatever was culturally deemed to be at the apex of the attractiveness pyramid when they were growing up. For a lot of guys in my generation, it was the music video “vixens” from the late 90s/early 2000s Hip & R&B music videos with ‘coke bottle figures’ and or light skinned eurocentric features. When it’s time to find a partner for the very serious endeavor of sharing a life with, that “spec” is simply inadequate as a measure of compatibility and that’s understandable. The foolishness though is communicating it as though their partner somehow didn’t measure up to their “spec” instead of simply admitting that the idea of their spec was stupid all along and a young boy’s lack of wisdom of what makes a good life partner.
Communicating publicly or even privately to your partner that they weren’t your spec to begin with may seem harmless, after-all you’re just being honest. But subconsciously, it’s an ego trip for you who “settled” and for your the partner, it’s a chip they will always carry on their shoulder that to you, they aren’t quite enough. They’re missing something you had always longed for, so much so that you still consider it to be your “spec”. It’s an unnecessary mind fuck and a cruel thing to say about somebody who is sharing a life with you. No matter how flowery you are with the compliments that come after. You’ve already knocked them down several pegs.
If the point is to say your spec changed then talk about the stupidity of having a spec to begin with. Because I’ve never heard anyone in these situations talk about character attributes being their spec, it’s always superficial stuff. Or speak about how meeting your partner opened your eyes to what true beauty is. Speak in ways that elevate and affirm your partner.
