Unwillingness to compromise God's Word on women pastors
combined with a willingness to compromise God's Word on how we treat women
is still a willingness to compromise God's Word.
Framing this as "over a seminarian" gets the issue reversed. For most conservative Christians, this actually makes it harder to vote Talarico - even if they want to as an anti-Paxton vote - because his brand of Christianity is extremely progressive, unorthodox, & even offensive.
Respectfully, the concern over the Truth & Unity Amendment seems to be legit concern, not"fear mongering" Yes this is the dumpster fire of pre annual SBC Twitter, but is this what you foresaw? @albertmohler@deaninserra@manorjuan@baptist21@AndrewTWalker
I am betting these two have multiple Beth Moore Bible studies in their home library. We need the Beth Moore Amendment passed now!

It’s clear that after the last 4 meetings this issue needs to be addressed and clarified but my primary concern is that the language of the proposed amendment/s have been too expansive and/or short sighted.
@megbasham Ok, I did not vote for Kamala Harris and I agree with @DavidAFrench on the @GOP sliding towards becoming a non-pro-life party. So what is your retort to the argument?

This Jonathan Haidt video proves it: No girl under 17 should be on Instagram. Churches, schools, and ministries that lure teen girls onto IG aren’t “engaging culture,” they’re being morally reckless and irresponsible. I’m not sure they love girls because they dismiss the data.
@vaultingjaws1@cuatronelson@ERLC Point of clarification. Are you accusing me, the Book of Reports, or my math of being misleading as to be flat out false?
I’ve been off the Social Medias for a while. Hopped back on for #SBC2025 as I wasn’t able to attend this year. One thing my hiatus has taught me is that my contributions on this platform really don’t add much to the conversation.
@vaultingjaws1@cuatronelson@ERLC What do you mean very very small? According to the Book of Reports 73.1% of CP funds for FY 2024 went to IMB & NAMB.
@vaultingjaws1@cuatronelson@ERLC Yes, SBC is more than the CP. But it is first & foremost a group of autonomous churches partnering together for the sake of funding missions. If a church no longer wishes to support missionaries then why stay apart of an entity that’s primary purpose is the funding of missions?
@vaultingjaws1@cuatronelson@ERLC IMB/NAMB are funded primarily through CP. Apart from Lottie Moon & Annie Armstrong offerings churches within SBC are no longer cooperatively funding missionaries. And if that mechanism to support missionaries is no longer in existence then what is the point of SBC?
