If true, 2 years from now mankind will lose a distinct feature of their identity. To work, provide, and bring order to the cosmos.
This would be more devastating than helpful in the long run I fear.
2 years from now you will not work you and will not worry about money
you will get your cash payments from from all the major AI labs
think of it like 3-5 companies giving you a thousand dollar check every week
Mormons Believe:
-Jesus was a created being like us
-We too can become gods
-Good Mormon men get a planet full of virgins
-Jesus and Lucifer are brothers
-Jesus came back to America
-Native Americans are the true Israelites
They aren’t Christians and need to repent
@ryansatin Kudos to you on being intellectually curious. I hope it’s an enjoyable journey for you that leads to deep thinking about questions that are profoundly important for us all to ask!
@kevin_b_b6 Genuine question, if we do apply tariffs as a replacement to income tax wouldn’t we, long term, lose government funding? If the tariffs deter Americans from purchasing foreign goods we would then decrease that income source over time wouldn’t we? Where do we make up that loss?
Rachel Maddow claims Lord of the Rings is a 'favorite' for 'far right' figures:
"Lord of the Rings is sort of a favorite cosmos for naming things, and cultural references, for a lot of far right figures and alt-right figures both in Europe and the United States.
Mr. Vance when he founded his own venture capital firm, named after a Lord of the Rings thing, named Naria, which you can remember because it's Aryan, but you but the N to the front."
If you're wondering how MSNBC is handling the JD Vance pick, they've accused him of being a white supremacist for liking Lord of the Rings.
@DZRishmawy As a campus minister I totally agree. I never have more people that want to come up after the message and talk than on nights when we discuss biblical sexuality vs the world’s sexuality. Students are hungry for another way.
@BrandonThurston Vince’s ego played him right into the hands of someone more powerful that could finally be in a position to hold him accountable. It’s better than him just getting removed from the board he essentially always controlled because of shares held.
@BrandonThurston Do you think that maybe the way it worked out is actually the best case scenario? They let him back on the board with the intent to sell, he sold to someone far more powerful than himself, and now that the allegations have been exposed he can’t force his way back.
@ryanburge And that people may be implicitly seeking it, and that’s why parents enjoy the youth sports, maybe even more than their kids. However, I don’t think families are explicitly signing up for youth sports to regain a sense of community that they’ve abandoned in church.
@ryanburge I don’t know if I outright disagree with the theory, but it hasn’t been the perception I have in my community. Most families want: their child to be as successful as possible, and they might get joy in the competition. I agree with the premise that we are designed for community..
