@ClimbingCoachX Because Israel generally cannot safely play against many regional opponents in a traditional qualifying setup in Afrtica, it ends up in UEFA, which makes the qualification path significantly tougher.
@ClimbingCoachX Teams qualify through their regional confederations, which are basically grouped by continent.
Europe gets up to 16 spots, Asia 8, Africa 9, South America 6, etc.
So a team’s path depends heavily on which region it’s assigned to.
@ClimbingCoachX Israel, for example, was absolutely a top-48 team, but it had to qualify through Europe rather than with neighboring countries like Jordan or Egypt, which compete through Asia and Africa.

Bombshell: The Browns are finalizing a trade that will send two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, per @rapsheet, @TomPelissero and me.
In exchange for Garrett, the Rams are expected to send Pro-Bowl edge Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and other draft-pick compensation still being negotiated to the Browns.
And “I believe we will win” on megaphones for hours. Like why?
Not to mention the entire zip code is sidelined for package carriers so that drivers can be kept safe, and thousand of residents won’t get their packages in a timely manner by the promise date.
