When Nellie sits beside my bed,
She thinks, to please a Poet,
Her talk must be of books,
Although I’d rather she’d forego it.

And here is my poem that I published in @quiet433, my little reminder of the struggles that we go through. Queer and trans folks exist: we always have, and always will. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️💕

@tawniiecastro It is most likely that the magazine folded (common for smaller mags), or otherwise the staff has been temporarily overwhelmed (happens to the best of us). At this point you can either keep waiting or send them a note withdrawing the piece and submitting elsewhere.
A Guatemalan cowboy, a father who beat up the sky for his daughter, and the voice of a young girl floating in the river. We're kind of obsessed with these gorgeous, heartbreaking and tender poems from @tawniiecastro.

So...🚨BIG NEWS🚨 My first book is officially under contract with @DukePress!
JUGGLING is part memoir, part criticism, part history. In short, I set out to write the saddest book on the subject, and I think I succeeded.
Look for it next spring! Also, it has gorgeous images.
"These are the moments when I wash it all away -
the lovely disarray of life from yesterday."
Check out @FayeRapoDesPres's lovely little poem, "First Light" !
