That’s not the point tho. U put a 2.1 GPA plate on a lambo or a Ferrari, a car that 99.99% of ppl can only dream of getting, it’s supposed to be a crazy flex. A type R is a great car with a high enough price point that most ppl cant just walk into a dealer and buy don’t get me wrong, but its definitely a more realistic/affordable car that the average american can get
i remember a couple months ago a meta horizon representative tried to dm me on discord to get my input on what they should do with meta horizon (w/o any incentives or compensation). seems like they had dmed a bunch of other top roblox devs as well. all in all they ultimately made a 1:1 Roblox clone 💀
Ever since these updates I’ve only seen my ccu increase, im not 100% if the correlation between the ccu increase and these Roblox updates are certainly real but its just too much of a coincidence. Makes me feel bad for newer devs though. Back then u can be some 15 year old kid with a top Roblox game but now it’s more so not looking to be the case unfortunately, it’s mostly acquisition studios and long term legacy games (mm2, flee the facility etc.) that seem to be dominating the platform now
valve has completely eroded the trust in their economy after the knife trade up update. the new terminals dont make it much better either. i can see prices continuing to drop further for the time coming. prices will 100% stabilize eventually and gradually rise but i really dont see it happening very soon imo
yes, if you're american or in another HCOL country this is more so suited towards u. if ur in a LCOL country then it doesn't apply to u as much. if ur in a country where u can comfortably live off $2,500 USD/month then id say a game making roughly 25k robux daily for multiple months should be the first sign u take if ur trying to make roblox devving a full-time thing
yea thats true they’ll make millions but he’s talking abt the longevity aspect of it. these games wont remain at the top for multiple years like mm2, adopt me, rivals, etc. unless they do something completely different and create something genre-defining then its going to follow that trend
most of my current games are r15, but the project i've been working for nearly a year + have so far spent nearly $50k USD is r6 so this affects me too.
it is a bit disappointing that game won't make me more money from this update but it still won't sway me from swapping it to r6 (due to stylistic preference + time & effort needed to change all the animations to r15). however, i do understand why roblox wants to do this.
roblox wants to change their public perception and attract more 18+ users. how do you attract these users? u incentivize developers to make games that would make 18+ users want to play and one of the main features that 18+ users like is r15 (emotes, animations, bundles, layered clothing, etc.) roblox wants to stray away from the brainrot and slop games that it's known for now.
so, although i understand why a lot of ppl are upset abt this decision i can also understand why roblox made it
an exaggeration still points towards the truth. if ur in heavy traffic and say "everybody in the world decided to drive today" thats a good use of an exaggeration, it means that there was a lot of ppl in traffic that day.
what u said about 90% of their playerbase preferring r6 is an exaggeration, but it doesn't point towards the truth. the truth is players who prefer r6 are the minority and the vast majority of players prefer r15
@LocalXmx@realmaloni@chickenputty some do, most dont. brainrot revenue is mostly carried by their ccu, they dont have very good rpv due to the main demographic being younger and more likely from non first world countries where disposable income is scarce
