Eddie Glaude: “Stephen Miller is a racist. He’s a white nationalist. White nationalists have seized the federal government. Great Replacement Theory motivates this immigration policy. We need to call them for what they are. This is a white nationalist agenda and Stephen Miller and all of these folk are just simply rabid racists”
The same court that torched Roe, handed the President a get-out-of-jail-free card, and took a chainsaw to the Voting Rights Act, just decided that a billionaire who’s legally capped at giving $7,000 to Mike Rogers’ campaign can now give the party $132,900 to spend directly on Mike Rogers anyway. They’re calling it, “free speech.” The Supreme Court has turned into Donald Trump’s law firm at this point. Stop pretending it’s neutral. Expand the court.
The number of financial side deals the Trump family is running is so shocking it can sometimes be hard to track.
According to @Reuters, their crypto ventures alone have delivered $2.3 billion to Trump & co. while creating a similar-sized loss for investors.
The Supreme Court is a disaster. With nearly every ruling, they’ve made clear that they are nothing but radical politicians in robes.
For years, I’ve called for massive reforms — it’s clearer now than ever that we need them.
The Times is tragically right. We have a Supreme Court majority that is reckless, ahistorical, partisan and extremist. It is sending us headlong into an unaccountable, vindictive dictatorship

.@jonathanvswan: "Trump is essentially beyond the reach of the law in terms of actions...Trump has told senior advisers in the Oval Office that he's going to pardon anyone who came within 250 feet of the Oval Office...I don't think they feel any real concern about illegality."
If elections aren't secure... none of you are legitimately elected, and should therefore resign.
But you don't really believe that. You just want to disenfranchise millions of legit voters.
The SAVE ACT is voter suppression.
Awful lot of supposed small-government conservatives are very happy that the Supreme Court has enacted one of the largest expansions of federal executive power in my lifetime. Might want to remember they won’t always be in control of Washington.
This shit can backfire on you.
Jon Ossoff: “They worked harder burying the Epstein Files than they ever worked to lower your grocery bill. And while you pay more for everything, the Trumps are raking in billions. Illegal tariffs, failed war, healthcare cuts, and unmatched corruption. 34% approval and a presidential legacy cemented in disgrace”
AOC: Mike Johnson paints this as though it’s some partisan witch hunt. But if you don’t want to be prosecuted for crimes, don’t do crimes.
And he’s talking about running a protection racket. And we are already seeing that this Trump administration has run what some have called one of the largest pedophile protection programs in American history.
And so when Mike Johnson tells a group of wealthy donors, I'm the only thing standing between you, and a consequence that should rattle at the conscience of every American.
What he wants to do is create—or rather, not even create, because it’s already been created—but protect a class of impunity in America that says, “You can commit whatever crime, and so long as you pay a check to us, we will protect you.”
And that is a model of extortion in American politics. And you know what? That’s their pitch.
Congress passed a law ordering the State Department to spend $9.4 billion on global health and more than $5 billion on humanitarian aid, covering HIV treatment, tuberculosis, malaria, and nutrition for starving children.
This was no suggestion, it was the law of the land. The President signed it.
Now ProPublica reports the administration is simply refusing to follow it.
By the end of March, of more than $9 billion Congress directed for global health, the administration had obligated just $190 million, which is 5% of the normal pace.
Russ Vought, the dangerous, unaccountable extremist who runs the Office of Management and Budget, is labeling money “unallocated” so they can sit on it until the clock runs out and the funds expire. Letters from Congress go unanswered, required reports go unfiled, clinics close, and people die, including children.
The Constitution gives Congress the power of the purse for a reason, and when a President takes money we lawfully appropriated and decides on his own which laws to obey, that is not policy, that is a President placing himself above the law.
I sit on the Appropriations Committee, where our job is to decide how this government spends its money on behalf of the people who sent us here.
I will not stand by while this administration treats our votes as optional and human lives as expendable.
We are going to demand answers, and we are going to demand every dollar be spent as the law requires.https://t.co/lcW9wTruMU
The White House looks like shit.. The East Wing has been bulldozed. The lawns looks like they were used for a Demolition Derby. The Kennedy Center is under a tarp. The Reflection Pond is disgusting and fenced off. Trump has turned the Capitol into a shithole.
So the United States spent billions of dollars to bomb Iran so that we could spend billions of dollars to rebuild Iran.
This is what Republicans voted for?
Really?
In the old USSR, people could be arrested for photographing bridges, tunnels, etc. A repressive and paranoid regime assumed the photographers must be spies and saboteurs. Americans laughed at such petty tyranny. Nothing like that could happen in their free country! Until now.
TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS DIDN'T WORK
"tax the rich" is NOT a new concept, it was the norm before Reagan
we've been psyopsed into never questioning the rich and powerful
Elon Musk held up a chainsaw, fed USAID into the wood chipper, and at least 600,00 people have already died as a result - two-thirds of them children.
History's first trillionaire.
