Hong as the nominee would be the first real test of “can an open socialist win statewide in a swing state?”

I think progressives should be very worried about her in particular being the one who is the test subject.

She has very little aura. Not some Zohran level communication genius. She has no experience winning a swing distinct….She has a hard time answering questions about her previous unpopular stances like defunding the police and abolishing prisons…

And if she falls flat and loses statewide, she forever gets to be the poster child that everyone will point to as evidence that left-wing candidates aren’t viable outside of super blue jurisdictions.

This has implications for more than Wisconsin. It would be a MASSIVE blow to leftist electoral prospects in future swing state elections…

Obviously if she wins then hooray, but it’s quite a massive gamble and I think that’s the reason Bernie and AOC haven’t endorsed her…
