From tackling climate change, to improving healthcare, we're funding five quantum research hubs across the UK to solve some of our biggest challenges.
Very grateful for the response and interest in our recent PhD position.

#QuSIT will further research in #optical#spectroscopy to develop low-cost high-performance #quantum tech to capture real-time video imaging of gases - including #methane, which is responsible for between 30-50% of the rise in global temperatures - to help detect #gas leaks.
.@QuSIT_Hub aims to continue research in enhancing conventional #radar systems through the adoption of #quantum#clocks - this will greatly improve the detection of small, slow-moving targets - such as drones - in the presence of urban clutter #QuSIT#quantum-enabled #radar
The Quantum City website, produced by NQTP partners, offers an introduction to quantum technologies accessible to everyone. Wondering how quantum computing and other tools might be used in the real world? Find out at https://t.co/3NMp6ForPA
Bike helmet, or MRI scanner?
Researchers @UofGlasgow show @peterkyle how quantum technology could diagnose strokes in seconds as the government invests £100 million into five new quantum research hubs.
New #quantum imaging tech developed in #QuSIT_hub will reduce cost and increase sensitivity. We're working with @digistain, who have shown a new approach in cancer diagnostics, measuring the nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratio, an established biomarker which climbs as cancer takes hold.
The quantum-enabled scanner, commercialised by @CercaMagnetics, allows free movement during a scan, opening up new possibilities for measuring brain function and dysfunction in a wide variety of disorders, for e.g. movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease #QuSIT
Excellent to see the news this morning from @SciTechgovuk that they are investing over 100 million pounds in five new UK #quantum hubs.
Quantum technologies could be a powerhouse for the UK according to our recent independent Quantum Infrastructure Review so seeing the government prioritise this industry is promising.

The new @qusit_hub will further develop #quantum#gravity and #magneticfields sensing technologies to help increase the resilience and capacity of our critical infrastructure.
Our @DurhamQLM@DurhamPhysics researchers are playing a key role in the UK’s drive to develop #quantum technology as part of a £160m investment announced today to harness the power of quantum #physics 👉 https://t.co/T0bGNXh7GY
