Not a single person I know, has been carried to term and delivered, in any way, by a fella.
So it has to be a pregnant woman, or pregnant mum etc.
Crazy how these are actually needed conversations.

I was telling someone last night that I got “cancelled” for saying I didn’t like the phrase “pregnant people”. “Are you a mum?” they asked me.

I am, I said. A mother of one - not through choice.

But because of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, pre-term birth and a retained placenta, which caused massive scarring in my womb.

These are not “people’s” experiences. They are women’s.

I don’t know why they asked. Maybe they, too, see the ridiculousness of telling a mother she can’t say “pregnant woman” - given every one of us came from one.

But I will not be shamed for refusing language that erases the sexed reality of my own body - or for objecting to men who say they are women insisting they are the same as me (and therefore entitled to my sex-based rights).

For thousands of years, babies slept with their mothers. When they cried, they were attended to. Then two men came along: Dr. Holt and John B. Watson. They said babies should be trained. That babies had to fit the assembly line schedules of their parents. "Newborns must cry to expand their lungs," they claimed. "Simply let them cry it out." And that's how the "cry it out" sleep training method was born. Watson treated babies like experiments. "Never hug or kiss your child," he wrote. "Shake hands with them in the morning." The funniest part is how fast they learn the language.

A chant is "hate."

A boycott is "violence."

But bombing a refugee camp is "complex."

Starving a population is "security."

Killing children is "tragic but necessary."

My mother experienced a stillbirth. She lost my older brother at 7 months and labor was induced.

My dad used to describe it as the single worst thing ever in his life, and if you know his story, that’s saying a LOT.

My mother had to be sedated for DAYS.

To this day, she cannot talk about it. His name was Jeffrey Wade.

They constantly argue that “Transwomen” (men pretending to be women) are at risk if they use the men’s room, so they are entitled to safety by using the women’s restroom.

But, women are also entitled to safety in restrooms.

So why do some men get special treatment?

Why aren’t other men more accommodating and accepting of “transwomen” in THEIR restrooms?

Remember Hind Rajab.

Just 6 years old. She sat for hours on the phone to paramedics with 6 murdered family members around her.

She told them “They are shooting at us. The tank is next to me.”

The Red Cross waited hours for Israel to permit them rescue her.

When the ambulance that was cleared to rescue arrived they executed the medics and then murdered her putting 355 bullets into the car she was in.

Her final words to paramedics and recorded were "I’m so scared, please come".
