BTC 👉 ETH 👉Alts majeures 👉Lowcaps / Ultralowcaps
Le fait que le marché évolue peu depuis des mois pousse certains investisseurs à se tourner vers des actifs plus risqués.

Personally, I’m going to stake it and hold on—selling isn’t in my plan! What about you?
My thoughts are I couldn't care less if "investors" think being framed as a "Cosmos chain" is "bearish" or not. I only care about building a good product, and I think benefiting from the Cosmos SDK while trying to distance yourself from the Cosmos brand is weak. It's bearish until it's not.

I think the @CelestiaOrg $TIA ecosystem has a similar setup to the $SOL trade in 2023 and I'll explain why.
I think one of the reason SOL has done so well this cycle is because their ecosystem had a lot of resilient builders that decided to launch their tokens in 2023-24. This created a lot of incentives for users to experiment on the chain in the hopes of being compensated with airdrops.
The airdrop narrative was a way for Solana to acquire users, and given the superior UI/UX to EVM chains they were able to retain them. Retention led to memecoins doing well, forming a strong community that helps cement $SOL as a top 5 asset.
The Solana story is unreplicable, but you can see a similar story in Celestia. One of the bear cases of $TIA was the launch of Eigenlayer, but it's clear to the market that Eigenlayer is at least one year behind Celestia when it comes to building a strong community and ecosystem.
One way to know this is looking at the performance of @CelestineSloths which was a 1 TIA mint to anyone that staked >10 TIA in April. The Sloths refer to the Lazy Ledger whitepaper (before they rebranded to Celestia) and the collection has 360x'd in under 2 months. Sloths likely replace Bad Kids as the "Cosmos eco NFT."
Though the $TIA price action has been brutal in 2024, I think it was necessary to capitulate the weak hands. Also, crypto communities tend to form when a group of individuals go through a painful experience (shared trauma) together; and they can euphoria-post together when the trend changes.
One of the strongest narratives in Q4 2023 was the "modulithic" narrative between SOL and TIA. Below is the TIA/SOL ratio and in the recent -60% dump, TIA has retraced its entire outperformance against SOL (since launch). We are now bouncing at the bottom of the range and will need to see a 3x to get back to the top of the range.
A lot of discussion has taken place regarding the "low float, high FDV VC tokens" and the upcoming unlocks in November is definitely an issue. However, I think a lot of hate is already priced in to the token, and the "bullish unlock" narrative can form if TIA begins to outperform (price leads narrative).
I've been surprised by the lack of notable airdrops to TIA stakers (or Sloth holders) in the past few months, but given the surprise ETH ETF approval we can expect projects to be more open to dropping tokens. Sybils are an issue but I think a (somewhat) linear airdrop design makes it more fair.
You can visually see the capitulation amongst stakers as the number of delegates have been down only in the past month.
Given the pain the community has suffered, the modular community is likely to rally behind the next airdrop, capturing a lot of attention. Wise teams know this, and we could see some reflexivity if any of these teams drop in the coming weeks/months:
- @AvailProject (not a tia airdrop, but a new modular coin which may bring attention if it does well)
- @initiaFDN following their most recent testnet launch
- @milky_way_zone announcing their initia rollup
- @union_build connecting Agglayer x Cosmos
- @EclipseFND bullish pervert step-down
- @movementlabsxyz confirmed airdrop to TIA stakers in a @Cryptocito interview in 2023
- @Hyperlane_xyz modular expansion
- @berachain less likely as their team has been mocking TIA stakers recently
- @calderaxyz@conduitxyz@astriaorg rollups as a service
- @mitosisorg ecosystem-owned liquidity
I have no idea if/when these airdrops happen, and am bagholding like the rest of you (I am a midcurve after all). I still view $TIA as a cycle hold and am looking forward to the growth of the ecosystem.
I also think @CelestiaOrg has the most to gain from the upcoming BTC L2 ecosystem, led by @quantumcats and CatVM. BTC L2's are the least likely to use "Eth-aligned" DA solutions like Eigenlayer. This is likely a 2025-26 story, however as the "BTC L2" eco mostly consists of sidechains instead of real L2's that settle on Bitcoin (CatVM fixes this).
The one problem is that there isn't much "to do" on Celestia, so there needs to be a proliferation of new launches that allow people to experience what Celestia offers. Perhaps anything "bullish" occur near the TIA unlocks in November to help absorb the eventual sell pressure.
Disclosure: Long $TIA and Sloths.
