I predict that in 5-10 years every household will have a local AI server that serves all the AI workload of the house, digital or robotics. It’ll be as common as a WiFi router or a fridge
it creates a private mesh network to link all the devices in the house and does inference completely locally, with built in data vault resistant to remote data hacking or physical tampering. That way you can have every single piece of information about you and your family stored in there and never leaves it, and AI can use them to provide most accurate and customized services
Forget boring cursor highlighters 😁
Pokey turns your cursor into an interactive pointer that taps every click you make.
Keep it subtle – “Shy Finger” mode. Or make it impossible to miss – “In Your Face” mode 🤟🏼
Say goodbye to boring demos and screen shares!
after hacking into the ducati’s cluster board via thousands of voltage glitches, the cluster no longer boots properly (stuck in a blinking light animation)
to diagnose this, I had claude analyze the blinking lights pattern and frequency to track down the exact location in my bike’s dumped firmware that produces these patterns and lcd display (the lcd contents were ambiguous and had two candidates)
we tracked it down to a region of code whose only entrypoint is a failed firmware code integrity checksum, presumably caused by the thousands of voltage glitches we injected causing some of the flash memory cells to lose charge, corrupting the firmware code itself
top-left: original video + cropped regions on the LEDs,
bottom-left: analyzed LED brightness across time
right: dumped firmware opcodes that produce this pattern
I swear iOS and Android were the testing and deployment grounds for tyrannical consumer tech
- zero control over the hardware
- even if they allow you to it's marked with tamper flags that lock you out of many services (banking, video streaming, etc.)
- constantly connected and that capability gets abused in the worst possible ways
- a lot of us were literally forced to bind their identity to their smartphones
- the software implementation itself is incredibly tyrannical, today they stop you from screenshotting, tomorrow they will implement EU chat control at system level
Sometimes I hate myself for the kind of gameplay ideas I have, coding the block physics with the screws was SOO hard
But I'm happy that the block puzzles are getting more varied and better integrated with platforming, pacing and all

@archivespirit@blondesnmoney Not sure how physically damaged SSD is but if you buy a SSD docking station you might be able to plug it into a different computer & salvage some of your files even if it won't run windows properly
invest in good design.
buy objects that make you pause.
every well-designed thing carries compressed intelligence; geometry, ergonomics, philosophy, material science; all distilled into form.
a good chair teaches balance.
a good pen teaches flow.
a good interface teaches empathy.
the more you surround yourself with great design, the sharper your design sense becomes; until you start seeing structure and beauty everywhere.
