Spain has welcomed 101 Palestinians from Gaza in its sixth humanitarian medical evacuation. 🇪🇸🏥

Twenty children needing medical care arrived in Spain with 81 family members after traveling through Jordan. Spain’s Health Ministry said the children will receive specialized treatment across public hospitals in nine regions. The June 30 operation was coordinated with several Spanish ministries, the World Health Organization, and the European Commission’s emergency response system.

Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden & the UK have finally taken a step that should have been taken long ago by moving to ban trade with Israel’s illegal settlements.

But let’s be clear: banning settlement goods alone will not stop the dispossession, forcible transfer and violence Palestinians face every day. The settlements and settler violence are not an isolated problem. They are a central pillar of Israel’s unlawful occupation and system of apartheid. Meanwhile, entire Palestinian communities in the West Bank face the risk of erasure, while Palestinians in Gaza continue to struggle for survival amid Israel’s ongoing genocide.

The momentum is growing. Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have now jointly called on the international community to take similar action and adopt concrete measures against illegal settlements and the structures that sustain them.

There is no room left for symbolic gestures, excuses or delays. States must stop all support that helps sustain Israel’s unlawful occupation, impose targeted sanctions on officials responsible for grave violations, and end arms transfers that risk facilitating further abuses. International law means little if governments refuse to enforce it when it matters most.
