Iran directly attacked Israel with missiles/drones in April 2024 (~300 projectiles) and October 2024 (~200 missiles). Both were stated by Iran as retaliation for prior Israeli strikes on its consulate/personnel and proxy leaders.
In June 2025, Iran launched multiple barrages during the direct 12-day conflict in response to Israeli strikes on its nuclear/military sites.
A ceasefire took effect June 24, 2025. Iran fired additional missiles in the first hours after, in violation. Further exchanges followed later breaches.
No prior formal ceasefires between Iran and Israel. All direct Iranian strikes followed Israeli actions in the immediate sequence.
