Public hearings were held about construction of the Primorskaya NPP in Russia’s Far East.
2x VVER-1000 planned.
First concrete in 2027 & 2029, with target commissioning in 2033 & 2035. Seems rather optimistic, considering nothing has been done yet.
The hull for the first of four MPEBs (106 MWe floating NPPs) has reportedly been delivered from China to the Baltiyskiy Zavod shipyard for the next phase of construction. Target completion date for the first unit is 2028.
@HarksenNiels For ships constructions usually oficially starts with first metal cutting. But for nuclear construction we need to cheat a little and delay till maybe drydock assembly?
But I think PRIS just re-reports data submitted by national agencies
@HarksenNiels Not particularly. I mean there is always usual delaying stuff like sanctions, tenders, work organization, etc.
@Syndroma3 is still posting on telegram https://t.co/KeYmiTstfj
@HarksenNiels Reportedly Rosatom had previously tried to buy SilMash 's generator production. And is now evaluating localized turbine production with DongFang.
Reportedly, Rosatom is considering buying turbines from DongFang Electric(China) instead of SilMash for Leningrad NPP unit 7 & 8.
While no details were officially provided, lower costs and tight schedules are the speculated reasons.
