Steven Spielberg gives his thoughts on AI usage in filmmaking:
“I don't believe there is any substitute for the soul. I don't think that's an algorithm that is inventible... don't tell me I don't have the right antagonist in this story, don't tell me how to write my dialogue, don't tell me where the camera has to go…
If AI wants to help me find locations, that's great. Saves us some leg work… Use AI as a tool, but do not use AI as the final word on anything creative.”

I don't recall any previous transformative technologies having to be sold so desperately. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"

If you call Film LA, the very first option is to report a production you think should be shut down for not having a permit.
The third option is to try and get a permit. If you don't get your application in my 10am a week before the shoot, they will not process your application. Not 10:05, not 12pm. Must be in by 10am. When you speak to the person at Film LA, they truly sound like they don't even want you to shoot there.
I hope whoever our next mayor is shuts down Film LA and makes it free and easy to get a permit.
LA has the best crews, the best casts, the best weather. It shouldn't be cheaper and easier to fly to Oklahoma and shoot there than it is to shoot at home. It's time to bring filmmaking back to LA.
Please please please my friends, keep going after your dreams .. so many of you think it's over and it's too late and everybody already made content, there’s too much personalities out there, everyone's already did it, you missed the podcast, you missed the social, you missed the live shopping .. when in reality you haven’t missed shit. We're just starting. If you have passion about a subject matter and have some knowledge about that subject matter — could be around technology, sports, science, entertainment — it really doesn't matter. What matters is that you get off your insecurity horse and jump on and start making content, a podcast, a vlog, streaming, or social media content, or heck even writing on Substack. Please my friends, this is the biggest opportunity for the human individual to break out and start their dreams.
"Hacks" star Hannah Einbinder blasts AI creators as "losers" and says she wants to "put their head in the toilet and flush":
“The people who make this stuff are losers. They’re not artists. They’re not creative. And they’ve wanted their whole lives to be special. And they’re not special. So, they’re trying to rob real creative people of our gifts. And you can’t. And even if you try, you will never be cool. You guys suck. No one likes you. Anyone who’s near you is because they crave power and access over any ethical standard. You are a loser. You will never be cool. And you probably had a rolly backpack in high school. I wanna put your head in the toilet and flush.”
