@YourHostKaz Even now it’s barely an rpg.
There’s almost no stat progression.
At this point it’s more of a minigame collection with exploration in-between.
@BladerLBM I’d say you can strip away all the audiovisual assets altogether and still have a working exploration game.
Check Maptroid - it’s a metroidvania without the vibes.
@yano_gamedev XY caves are fun! Glittering cave, Reflection cave.
In general I think caves are good for environmental variety, even when thou they might be a little bit annoying sometimes.
@romhackdoting Wasn’t expecting to see it in my twitter feed at all 😁.
Anyway thank you https://t.co/TFj6UaDEf9 for preserving my little weekend project.
You’re welcome to share it whenever you like.
@RanarifSC Love your content selection.
It would be immensely helpful if you actually provided links to games themselves in the comment section.
It’s also better for the developers too.
@RobinPoedev Usual recommendations are Isle of Rebirth and Banana Blood God.
A Tribute to Yeto’s Quest for weird unconventional puzzle design.
Nayru’s Odyssey for fantastic dungeon design.
Finished working on Embershade! A small game I’ve been creating. Here’s a look at the gameplay! Hope you enjoy it! Play it on Itch: https://t.co/8sV4knS6fQ

@sylviefluff Maybe I’m late to the party, but Barbuta seemingly has a prequel. It’s called Divers and it’s a weird little exploration rpg. I think you might like it.
@RobinPoedev I think GB Zeldas are perfect compromises. Still very dense and compact, but with nicer graphics and diverse tilesets. Especially Link’s Awakening.
