A3 Just spending 1 day in a public school would change their mind. They would see many dedicated Ts and most Ss excited to be there #HNESbt

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

@DanceyCCPS cool. i'll try to introduce that next year.

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

@ErikaNorthCCPS I find it's often the Ss that have siblings find it difficult to stay positive so i think it depends on their home life too

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

@DanceyCCPS What can they redeem tickets for?

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

Q3 What's your response to the general public’s misconception that “education is broken and teaching is a lost art?” #HNESbt

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

@chelseajccps no worries! glad you're here

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

A2 I don't always base contests on speed. TBH I've had to end a few due to arguments among Ss so they were able to learn from that #HNESbt

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

Q2 Challenges/contests can be great motivators for Ss. How do you prevent Ss from being too competitive? #HNESbt

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

A1 I also feel like the younger grades need more instruction on HOW to use the technology. Many don't have PCs at home #HNESbt

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

@karen_seaver Scavenger hunt, great idea!

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

@ErikaNorthCCPS Agree w/ you on attention span! When I do too many eBooks in a row, they have a hard time sitting for a printed book #HNESbt

[Rachel Rapada @rachel_rapada]

A1 Also, my Ss can sometimes get to the "answer" without knowing the how or why, they just guess till they get it right #HNESbt
