Rachel Singer is a PhD student in the Department of History. Her project focuses on outbreaks of infectious disease in early medieval Britain and Ireland. Ireland’s rich annalistic record features numerous epidemics before the year 1000.
@DPManchee Just DM me your email and I’ll send over a PDF! I get into the fact that there haven’t been any plague genomes found in the West in the article - part of it is definitely sampling and survival bias towards the East of England, but hopefully we will find some western evidence soon
