@becs_and@robkellytweets Or if we only worked the 25 hours a week our payslips reflect (in QLD anyway)- wouldn't even have to go to do PGD. Imagine the public outcry then.
@AnnastaciaMP The chances are we will end up with hundreds of students yet no educational expectations. We have activities planned but no rigour or focus. So not only are teachers & students exposed to covid as pre-closure, staff will also be dealing with explosive behavioural circumstances.
@AnnastaciaMP Schools are going to have close to normal attendance for the next two weeks, yet we have been told we are to provide supervision only. It is an organisational & behavioural nightmare for zero extra protection. Should have just allowed us to do our jobs as usual.
@AnnastaciaMP QLD has delayed school start to 7.2, essential workers kids & vulnerable students can come in from 24.1. The mandate from unions & EQ to teachers has been no remote or F2F allowed until the full return to school & we are to 'supervise only'. But every worker is essential. Sooooo.
@HarryB380 This! I am in QLD & the halfway measures just make it incredibly difficult for schools & students. I would much rather open as usual. Most teachers I know have this view.
@harmer658 @AnnastaciaMP And it is babysit! The DG's email states "supervise" & the union makes it clear there is not to be any face to face or remote teaching until the 7th (except for seniors).
@AnnastaciaMP 'Essential worker' is only applicable to lockdowns when many industries close. I will be at school with 70% of my students present for those two weeks. Yet, it has been made clear- no remote or face2face teaching until the 7th. What do we do with the 500 students who will attend?
Home quarantine 'trial' is code for stalling as long as possible on a system that was operating at large scale in Taiwan 18 months ago. Politicised PR gloating over donuts insults tens of thousands of #strandedAussies interstate and overseas - many in severe hardship. #qldpol
So few international arrivals now test positive to #covid19Aus and so many are fully vaccinated, arrivals caps on citz, PRs & their families & partners, & visa holders are no longer justified. #strandedAussies#LoveIsNotTourism https://t.co/oI34birhCB
@Benny_puta@abcnews Albania is amazing, good food, good people, beautiful scenery, no covid restrictions and you don't even need a PCR test to enter. You should check it out!
