Hi #MedTwitter! I’m Rachel from @KansasCityU and I’m so excited to be #EMbound for Match 2025!
I love backpacking/camping, advocacy and education, and have a book-stagram: @bigbrainsbiggerbooks
So happy to join the #emergencymedicine community!!
Excited to be published with @CureusInc to show increased mortality with patients with underlying comorbidity of hyperlipidemia @LauraSchreck_@SydChristensen

After trying to explain to my non-medical friend the different specialties and their varying levels of continuity of care, she concluded that emergency medicine is the “one night stand of patient care” (vs the “marriage” that is other primary care specialties)
Hey #MedTwitter! Are you a #DO med student? Pls fill out our survey regarding abortion education in your curriculum. Aiming to better understand what level of education & training is being provided & perceptions of student preparedness. Thank you! Pls R/T https://t.co/qpJyJR1oNh

The end of a truly amazing #EM rotation at @emsghdetroit - All the residents and attendings were excellent teachers and compassionate physicians, and as an M3, I felt challenged and supported. Definitely going to miss the post-night shift morning sky ☀️

In honor of my last day of clerkships, I have compiled a list of every life threatening illness I self diagnosed myself with that was ~inspired~ by the rotation I was on
@embryoprof@NAPGO_Journal Congratulations to you as well!! Couldn’t have done it without all your guidance and support! And thank you but honestly, I’ve been having a great time brushing up on my anatomy ☺️
Big day: published on @NAPGO_Journal’s homepage and also learned the MRI results for my ankle, all of which was after seeing a full day of patients in inpatient #psych. Although it’s time to do some UWorld, I’m feeling beyond grateful and privileged to be in medicine #MedTwitter

My daughter (now 14) has cancer. I want to talk about one of the most frustrating, painful, angering, parts of that experience. Not nausea, or hair loss, or even our health insurance. I'm talking, of course, about @MakeAWish, the worst charity I've ever dealt with.
