Don’t speak from a place you have never been
Don’t make absolute statements about things you have never experienced
And don’t judge a person for why their journey doesn’t look like yours
Picking at wounds
A guilty pleasure of mine
Festering jagged edges
Weeping purulence
Eliciting pain
When what I could choose
Is nourishment
For parts of my brokenness
That need less judgment
More grace
That need care & comfort
So today I choose me
& this tenderness
My soul needs
