@JoshuaPotash (2/2) & I didn’t highlight it but the sentence after where he’s like “what was the officer supposed to do?” There is no empathy with these cops. I hope with all my soul this girl doesnt keep her emotions to herself but who can blame her!? The chief can apparently.

@JoshuaPotash Purple: the officers were called in knowing this girl was suicidal. The pain you must be feeling at only 9 years old to be thinking these things. Chief acknowledges she’s going through something traumatic but continues to defend the officers that has now added to her trauma (1/2)

@JoshuaPotash Red: there is NO need for this amount of force on a CHILD. Chief here is TELLING US the potential AND AUTHORIZED DANGER this girl was in. He hesitated. He said “she could’ve been hurt worse, hurt...” and changed the subject bc he almost let “KILLED” slip out.

Its been brought to my attention that Shayne McKee has been spared & continues his classes at UF. He probably convinced them that the photos were edited. Despite our shortcomings, at the very least Shayne’s made aware that his ideas are not only regressive (1/2)
