The days of safety testing part is complete misinformation and deceptively misleading.

Either the U.S. HHS is completely uninformed on vaccine development, or he intentionally misled the public. Either way, these statements are unbecoming for anyone serving in a public health role. @SecKennedy should either resign or be impeached and removed from office for this.

Ongoing safety data is continuously collected for ALL vaccines approved in the U.S.

As noted by the FDA’s “Vaccine Development – 101” page, “Vaccines are closely monitored using various surveillance systems, such as the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), the FDA BEST (Biologics Effectiveness and Safety) program and the FDA Sentinel Program, the FDA and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) partnership, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Vaccine Safety Datalink.”

Safety data for vaccines are tracked down to the lot number. As noted by the CDC, the “FDA monitors a vaccine product's quality in real-time by requiring manufacturers to submit samples of each vaccine lot for testing.” No other drug or medical product is held to the same high standards in the U.S.

As recently as January 2026, vaccine manufacturer Valneva withdrew the chikungunya vaccine Ixchiq from the U.S. after the post-approval safety data showed safety concerns. This is irrefutable proof that the system works.
