Creating tech hiring questions is hard. Really, I just want to see some code and talk about it. That would tell you everything you need. I get the need for a filter, otherwise, how do you sift through a mountain of candidates?

@adamwathan I like Cal Newport's approach in Deep Work where he puts the onus on the sender to prove the email is worthwhile. But puts a disclaimer near his contact info saying no response is not meant to be rude, but necessary to get anything done during the day.

@adamwathan It's a strange obligation we have to respond to emails, lest we be considered "rude". But the ability of a request that took someone 5 seconds to write, but will take the recipient 10 or 100 times as long to create a response is unsustainable.
