My typical advice to consolidate your federal student loans immediately after med school graduation does not apply this year.

Why?

Because normally this involves choosing an income-driven repayment plan.

Right now, we have no idea what IDR you'd be applying inTO.

And believe me - the current interns who applied for SAVE last year will tell you to avoid getting stuck in the IDR application quagmire.

So what's the solution?

We wait.
