@JoJoFromJerz Me too. I was convinced, especially after watching the hearings in which the vast majority were from the GOP ranks, that he was facing at least 20 years in prison.
@680TheFan@buckbelue8 Career back-up maybe. Maturity level in doubt. A lot of people are wondering what the real reason everything and everyone went silent on him.
This decision was made before today’s game. It came too quickly after the game. Surprised Arthur pulled the plug so quickly (2 yrs). He is not known to be that impulsive - especially after the Falcons set a team record for sacks (2nd in NFL), won their last 4 games, were cited
by network commentators as playing better than any team in the division at end of season, had record same as division champ, and were 3 plays away from being 11-6 (2 kicks, 1 two-point conversion). Yes, special teams were terrible but that simply requires a change there. Makes one wonder who’s running the show. Rick McKay? What does he really do? Seems like his prints were all over this. But one day Arthur needs to realize that McKay has been the consistent cog in his team’s mediocrity .. which was finally starting to play well by season’s end. The players never gave up, a tribute to Morris and the coaching staff.
Let me get this straight. Trump wants the DOJ to pay him $230m of taxpayer dollars to reimburse him for his expenses trying to defend stealing top secret documents, lying about it and sharing them with others. And he says he would donate those funds to a good cause - like building his gauche gold-plated White House ballroom - which he says he’s going to personally pay for - until he gets the $230m of taxpayer money. So he would not have to pay a thing and let us taxpayers pick up the tab. Class act. Does he really think we’re that stupid?!?
The United States government is no longer able to protect us from real hazards, such as flash floods, because it’s shifting funds to fake hazards, such as a non-existent immigrant crime wave.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has been stripped down so much it can barely respond to emergencies, yet it’s funding detention centers such as “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Florida Everglades.
The National Weather Service’s San Angelo office, responsible for some of the areas hardest hit by Friday’s flooding, is missing a senior hydrologist, staff forecaster, and meteorologist.
The Weather Service’s nearby San Antonio office, which covers other areas hit by the floods, is missing a warning coordination meteorologist and science officer who are supposed to work with local emergency managers to plan for floods, including when and how to warn local residents and help them evacuate. From Senator Angus King (Independent, Maine) re: Trump's Bill Beautiful Bill.
“Imagine a bunch of guys sitting around a table, saying, ‘I've got a great idea. Let's give $32,000 worth of tax breaks to a millionaire and we’ll pay for it by taking health insurance away from lower-income and middle-income people. And to top it off, how about we cut food stamps, we cut SNAP, we cut food aid to people?’... I've been in this business of public policy now for 20 years, eight years as governor, 12 years in the United States Senate. I have never seen a bill this bad. I have never seen a bill that is this irresponsible, regressive, and downright cruel.”
