@honorablesaint Whether or not he’s got Jay in a corner his blasphemy of the Trinity comparing it to a gay threesome makes him a retard not worth listening to
@BradIsCanadian@JendersII It would be out of mercy since you guys are clearly so cucked as to elect Trudeau and give up your own rights let alone unable to run a proper forestry dept
Well yeah, they lived in the pre-Christ era. Why did Christ descend into Hades? To preach the Gospel and retrieve the saints of the OT now that the gates of Heaven were opened.
"But if the gates of Heaven weren't open yet, how did Elijah get assumed into Heaven?"
Extraordinary means. Same thing we're talking about here. The souls Christ gathered during his three days in the grave were by the normative means. Elijah was by extraordinary means. Both/And not Either/Or
What's actually at odds here is the difference between ordinary and extraordinary means. God has provided the normative means of achieving salvation through the Church and the sacraments He instituted during his earthly ministry. You are correct in saying that He is not bound by them, because He's God and He may do whatever He wills. What it seems like Protestants want to do is place their bet on the extraordinary means only, and ignore the ordinary/normative means established by Christ. I'm not sure why anyone would make that gamble when their own salvation is the thing being gambled on and Christ gave them ordinary means. "Eat my flesh" "Drink my blood" "Repent" "Be baptized" "Love your neighbor" "Honor mother and father" etc.
@briankeepsworth There’s a dangerous wager being played here. If you think Tucho is right, you’re following a gay pervert head of the CDF, if he’s wrong, you’re following a gay pervert apostate masquerading as head of the CDF.
Went to mass at the local sspx redemptorist monastery. Attendance was same as normal (it’s small and rural). Fr preached a short kind of Thomistic Q&A on excommunication during which I had to take my screaming two year old outside, then after Mass we sang hymns for Church unity and prayed for the Pope to consecrate Russia (like usual).
All in all, “business as usual”
Reverendo e caro Don Davide,
