Stolen Generator Recovered in Joint Operation:

A stolen generator trailer was recovered in Koedoespoort, Pretoria, following a swift intelligence-led operation by the Khusela Secure High Risk Unit.

The team responded to live tracking information, enabling them to locate and recover the generator intact.

The successful recovery was made possible through close cooperation between SAPS, investigators and private security partners, highlighting the importance of real-time intelligence, advanced tracking technology and coordinated action in combating crime.

The recovered generator has been handed over to SAPS as part of an ongoing investigation aimed at identifying and apprehending those responsible for the theft.

SIX KILLED IN HORRIFIC NEWCASTLE CRASH:

Six people have died and one person was injured in a head-on collision involving two VW Polo vehicles on the R34 Memel Road near Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, on Saturday afternoon.

One of the vehicles caught fire after the impact, with two occupants trapped inside.

Authorities say the death toll could change pending SAPS forensic investigations.

The Road Traffic Inspectorate and SAPS are investigating the cause of the crash.

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma has again appealed to motorists to exercise extreme caution during the busy winter holiday period, warning that weekends remain the deadliest time on South Africa’s roads.
