Successful retrieval! Despite the chilly winds on Lake Ontario, RAEON glider pilot @LydPaulic and @ONresources staff safely brought our glider, GOOT back onboard. We detected lots of fish using @Innovasea new mobile receiver! Excited to look closer at the data!

We're renaming our Slocum glider Daphnia to GOOT in honour of Dr. Chris Vandergoot, who we sadly lost last month. Chris was key in launching our glider program & advancing fish tracking. The SG GOOT is in Lake Ontario, searching for lost tags & testing new tech. We'll miss him 💙
