The Calgary Stampede pulled in 1,411,954 guests over its 10-day run this year, with organizers confirming the final numbers Monday morning.

The turnout makes 2026 the third most attended Calgary Stampede in history.

Roughly 70 per cent of attendees came from the Calgary area, 11 per cent from elsewhere in Alberta, 12 per cent from across Canada, and seven per cent from outside the country.

Unbelievably sad news. I grew up listening to the FAN 960 on a daily basis. The station played a huge role in building my fandom. Listening to Flames and Hitmen games almost every evening was a defining part of my childhood.

BREAKING: Rogers is closing Sportsnet 650 in Vancouver *AND* Sportsnet 960 in Calgary, among six total radio station closures.

Rogers will still broadcast Canucks games for radio on one of its other properties, but will stop producing Flames games on radio.
