In 1996, Congress passed a law creating a special fast-track deportation process (“expedited removal”) for illegals who have been inside the US for 2 years or less. After adoption, it was never applied outside very limited circumstances. In 2004, the Bush Administration published a notice in the Federal Register limiting expedited removal (ER) to within 14 days and 100 miles of the border. In the first Trump Administration, DHS extended ER to the full statutory construction enacted by Congress — it was immediately blocked by a federal judge. The Biden Administration later formally restored the Bush policy. On the first full day in office, January 21, 2025, President Trump’s DHS again restored the long-unenforced statute, and was again blocked by a rogue judge. Today, the an appeals court has finally vacated that injunction. This ongoing saga is a tragically illustrative example of just how many forces are at work constantly, and over many years, to deny Americans their sovereignty.

I know you aren't from New Jersey & carpetbagged your way here somewhat recently, but we have the misnamed "Reproductive Freedom Act", with zero restrictions on abortions for anyone at ANY stage of gestation. We are the state where a thirteen year old girl can obtain a free termination - up to and including the full ninth month - performed by someone who isn't even a licensed physician (not a requirement - what could go wrong?) - with no parental notification whatsoever. Abortions are free for anyone and everyone here. Citizens, or here illegally — no matter! Taxpayers are forced to foot the bill, 100%.

Oh - and some pill forms of birth control medication are also available over the counter without a prescription, which I doubt was the case 35-ish years ago in Texas, was it?

So you can say whatever you'd like here, Rebecca, but if you want to represent New Jersey as a transplant (because that has worked out so well for us lately 🙄), perhaps acquaint yourself with New Jersey laws, as outrageous as they may be.

And brush up on the Constitution. Even RBG thought the day would come when the Roe decision was turned back to individual states, because of, well, the Constitution.
