It is with profound grief and sorrow that we announce the tragic loss of another innocent 5-month-old life due to the ongoing Liangmai-Tangkhul siege on all connecting roads. Due to this blockade, all basic commodities and medicines have run out and are no longer available.

Baby Hoidamdei, aged 5 months, daughter of Mr. Lamkholen Kipgen and Mrs. Vahneilam Kipgen of Thenjang Village, IT Road, passed away this evening.

What does a 5-month-old infant have to do with political demands? The international community and all people of conscience must condemn the Liangmai-Tangkhul atrocities being committed against innocent civilians. The silence maintained by the Meitei government is deafening. People from all walks of life must condemn these acts.

The Churachandpur Doctors Association strongly condemned the firing of a live bullet inside a clinic and vandalism of hospital property at PC Nursing Home on the night of 15th August 2026.

They said hospitals should be safe spaces for patients, not places of fear. The Association urged security forces to show restraint and asked the district administration to investigate and prevent such incidents in the future.

Security forces do not possess the legal or ethical authority to attack, beat, or torture any patient admitted to a hospital. Such actions are expressly prohibited under domestic constitutional law, the human rights framework, and international humanitarian law.

This principle is clearly enshrined in Article 21 of the Constitution of India. The Hon’ble Supreme Court has also issued explicit warnings against such conduct, including in areas where the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act is in force.

The incident reported at PC Nursing Home must be unequivocally condemned by all sections of society. All security forces personnel involved in threatening and attacking patients must be booked and put behind bars in accordance with the law of the land.

80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION – 2026

For the last decade, the Indo-Myanmar border town of Moreh has been compelled to observe Independence Day within the premises of the ADC Office due to boycott calls and threats issued by Meitei secessionist narco-terrorist organizations, including the PLA and UNLF (MPA), which have been carrying out anti-India campaigns from Myanmar.

Today, citizens from all walks of life in the vibrant Indo-Myanmar border town of Moreh assembled in large numbers to celebrate the 80th Independence Day of India in the esteemed presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Tengnoupal District, the Superintendent of Police, Tengnoupal District, and several officers of 36 Assam Rifles along with their musical band.

According to ground reports, the people of Moreh have made it clear to the world that they no longer welcome any secessionist groups or elements within the town.

I had never imagined that the Mayangkhang Village Authority would issue such an irresponsible statement.

KSO Sadar Hills did not allege that the Mayangkhang Village Authority was directly involved in the hijacking, looting, and burning of the Mahindra Bolero pickup truck belonging to Mr. Lamtinchon Chongloi.

As per the findings of KSO Sadar Hills, the vehicle was returning from Taphou Village with essential goods procured from a Naga friend in Senapati. At Mayangkhang, self-styled unemployed youth claiming to be volunteers of the Naga People's Organisation (NPO) allegedly intercepted the vehicle, threatened and harassed the two occupants, looted the goods, and assured that the vehicle would be returned. The vehicle was subsequently found burnt.

After examining the statement issued by the Mayangkhang Village Authority, it appears that the Mayangkhang Village Authority may also bear responsibility in the matter. Therefore, the law enforcement agencies, including the Senapati Police and Kangpokpi District Police, must investigate and take appropriate action against the Mayangkhang Village Authority. The NPO must also act and take necessary measures before the matter escalates further.

If the concerned authorities fail to act promptly and address the issue, it will provoke deep resentment within the Kuki-Zo community. In such an event, KSO Sadar Hills will be compelled to take necessary steps, and the concerned authorities will bear full responsibility for the consequences.

BREAKING NEWS: MANIPUR
Kangpokpi, 14th August 2026

In a concerning development, a factional clash reportedly occurred between NSCN-IM cadres and the newly constituted Naga Village Volunteers (NVV) in Langka, Kangpokpi District. The exchange of fire resulted in the death of two NSCN-IM cadres and serious injuries to three others.

The deceased have been identified as:
1. Lt. Corporal Tasiwangbou
2. Sgt. Wiriliangbou Widinnang

This incident follows the deadly ambush at Hongbei Village on 28th March 2026, in which four NSCN-EF cadres were killed in an attack allegedly carried out by NSCN-IM.

In recent weeks, Naga armed groups have encountered increasing challenges arising from internal discord and leadership disagreements, leading to heightened factionalism, tensions, and hostility among various factions.

Several sources have also expressed concern over whether factional conflicts involving the Tangkhul NSCN-IM, originating in Kamjong, are now extending to Tamenglong, Kangpokpi, and other districts. Law enforcement authorities are urged to take immediate measures to prevent further escalation and to ensure the safety and security of civilians in the affected areas.

The Kuki Students’ Organisation, Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi, strongly condemns the hijacking and burning of Mr. Lamtinchon Chongloi’s Mahindra Bolero pickup at Mayangkhang Thangal Village.

The destruction of the livelihood of a daily-wage earner is a barbaric and unacceptable act in any civilized society.

The KSO Sadar Hills urges the concerned authorities to immediately assume responsibility, identify the perpetrators, and provide adequate compensation to the victim within the shortest possible time.

Failure to take prompt action may compel the KSO Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi, to re-evaluate its commitment to the ongoing peace process. Justice must be delivered at the earliest.

There was no Manipur Police @manipur_police. Lieutenant General Pradeep Chandran Nair was RIGHT!

1. Killing of FCI Truck Driver on 29th May 2026:
On 29th May 2026, an FCI truck driver, Shri Nitish Kumar Das, was killed in TM Kasom, Ukhrul District, an area reported to be affected by NSCN-IM activities. It has been observed that without conducting a proper investigation, the Manipur Police @manipur_police attributed responsibility for the incident to the Kuki-Zo community.

2. Pattern of Selective Attribution:
It is further observed that whenever incidents such as thunderstorms, smoke, blank firing, or even internal clashes between Tangkhul and NSCN-IM groups occur in Tangkhul or other Kacha Naga areas, the Manipur Police @manipur_police and its official social media handle are prompt to attribute blame to the Kuki-Zo community.

Conversely, whenever Kuki-Zo villages are burnt or members of the Kuki-Zo community are killed allegedly by Tangkhul, NSCN-IM, or other Kacha Naga groups, the Manipur Police @manipur_police and its official handle refer to the perpetrators only as “unknown miscreants.”

3. Labeling and Due Process:
It has also been observed that any Kuki-Zo individual apprehended by the Manipur Police @manipur_police or security forces is routinely labeled as UKNA, Kuki Underground, or Kuki Militant. Such individuals are subsequently linked, without due process, to other incidents including the Tronglaobi case, which is widely alleged to have been orchestrated by Meitei groups.

4. Statements by State Leadership:
During their visit to the victim’s family, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand @YKhemchandSingh and his colleagues stated that “there was no attack or firing from the hills.”
It is widely alleged that the Tronglaobi incident was planned and executed by Shri Nongthombam Biren Singh @NBirenSingh along with his affiliated groups, Arambai Tenggol and PLA, with the objective of derailing the peace process. It is also reported that he was summoned to Delhi by the Ministry of Home Affairs in this regard.

5. KUKI OBSESSIVE SYNDROME:
The obsession of the Manipur Police @manipur_police, the Meitei government, and sections of the Meitei community toward the Kuki-Zo community is well documented and widely known. They drag in and blame the Kuki-Zo community for any incident.
If this trend continues, one day the Manipur Police @manipur_police and the Manipur Government will claim that “9/11 was carried out by the Kuki-Zo community.”

Clash Between Kacha Naga Myanmarese Tangkhul NSCN-IM and NSCN-EF Factions: 2 Meitei VBIG Cadres Among 4 Killed in Myanmar:

A fierce encounter reportedly took place on July 29, 2026 in Myanmar's Sagaing Region, opposite Manipur's Ukhrul district, between cadres of the NSCN-IM and the NSCN Eastern Flank (NSCN-EF). According to sources, the inter-factional clash resulted in the deaths of four armed cadres.

Among those killed were two cadres belonging to a Valley-Based Insurgent Group (VBIG). Sources said the exchange of fire occurred in an area located across the Indo-Myanmar border.

Despite submitting several memorandums to the State Government, the atrocities, illegal taxation, and intimidation of truck drivers by Tangkhul cadres of NSCN-IM and their affiliates, including ZUF-Kamson, continue unabated on all National Highways connecting Manipur to the rest of India.

On Thursday, 30th July 2026, at Jibang, personnel of NSCN-IM and their affiliates, ZUF-Kamson, intercepted a truck, detained the driver and vehicle, and demanded money. The driver’s smartphone was also seized and he was not permitted to use it.

Again on Friday, 31st July 2026, at Luangba, the same group took the vehicle keys from the driver and handed him a basic feature phone in return.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

It is hereby informed that Kuki-Zo ANTI-DRUGS Volunteers apprehended four individuals from the Tangkhul community engaged in the illegal trade of drugs and liquor at Shangkai Village.

According to credible sources, the volunteers received specific information regarding the movement. The vehicles of the concerned persons were intercepted and subjected to a thorough search, during which a substantial quantity of drugs and liquor, allegedly supplied by certain Meitei individuals, was recovered, seized, and destroyed.

This incident has occurred at a time when the Manipur Police have been found wanting in the discharge of their duties.

The Kuki-Zo ANTI-DRUGS Campaign shall continue to be carried out with full commitment, both during peacetime and in times of conflict. The public at large is earnestly requested to abide by the rules and extend cooperation.

It has been reported that a group of Kacha Naga militants belonging to Tangkhul NSCN-IM and their alleged associates ZUF-Kamson have been sighted carrying sophisticated weapons on National Highway-37.

There are also allegations that they are collecting illegal taxes from truck drivers plying between Jiribam and Noney districts.

In view of the seriousness of the matter, it is pertinent to ask whether the Government of Manipur will continue to adopt a policy of “silence is the best medicine”. It is therefore earnestly requested that the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, or Cobra Forces be directed to conduct a thorough inquiry and take appropriate action to ensure public safety and the unhindered movement of goods and commuters on NH-37.

The matter is left to the sound judgement and wisdom of the concerned authorities.

Since May 3, 2023, when violence erupted in Manipur. 96 Kuki schools have been destroyed and approximately 14,000–15,000 Kuki students have been displaced. More than 250 Kuki individuals have lost their lives. Despite this, justice remains elusive.

IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS ON BAILEY BRIDGE OVER NAMPANG RIVER INCIDENT:

1. A bridge on the Nampanga River connecting Chhatrik Khullen - Kamjong* in Kamjong East Region has been destroyed, and a BSNL company vehicle has been burnt. Some paid media agencies with community-biased agendas have started blaming the Assam Rifles for the destruction. For these social media channels, not blaming the Kuki community seems unthinkable.

2. Organizations like @Khanuithot_Khon and @ukhrultimes, which routinely spread venom against the Kuki community and Security Forces, have initiated this false narrative campaign.

3. Is this the right approach — to blame the Assam Rifles and the Kuki community without verifying facts, only to fuel more hatred? To arrive at the truth, a series of events and statements must be analyzed in depth.

4. After the 06 Jul ambush, the Assam Rifles launched massive search operations. Four people were detained, but the "paid system" secured their release. Similar preparations are reportedly underway in the Chassad - Kamjong region. As per reports, drone surveillance has been ongoing for the past one week, with intense patrolling and checking by Assam Rifles troops in Chassad. This has posed a serious threat to NSCN(IM) cadres who were operating freely in the area.

5. Furthermore, on 21 Jul 26, at around 4:00 AM, more than 100 soldiers moved from Kamjong to the Aloyo - Z. Choro area for search operations. The early-hour movement surprised NSCN(IM) cadres and their sympathizers. Did this signal that the next target of the Security Forces was Chahong & Chhatrik Khunou — areas they are attempting to declare a "liberated zone" — and that they intend to stop the AR at Phenge Village in Kamjong?

It may be recalled that on the day Phaimol Village was burnt by NSCN(IM) cadres, Assam Rifles attempted to move troops toward the same bridge that was destroyed today. During this critical operation, Tangkhul women led by the wife of an NSCN(IM) cadre from Kamjong blocked the vehicles at Phenge. This delay allowed miscreants / NSCN(IM) sympathizers in Phenge to lay nails, fell trees, and create obstacles on the Kamjong - Chhatrik road. As a result, five Assam Rifles vehicles were damaged. Using this as cover, the NSCN(IM) cadres responsible for burning Phaimol village escaped toward Chahong & Chhatrik Khunou. The leader of this women’s group that erected the roadblock is a teacher. One must question what she is teaching the younger generation.

6. This bridge was a vital lifeline for Kuki villagers who vacated Maokot, Gamphal, Khachoubung, Haiyang & Mollen between March - May 26. They had hoped to return to their villages once the situation normalized after the monsoon. The destruction of this bridge has shattered that hope. Did the operations launched by Assam Rifles threaten NSCN(IM) and Eastern Flank cadres operating from these Kuki villages? A surprise Assam Rifles operation would have exposed cadres using these villages as bases, along with their forced expansion and deliberate plans.

7. NSCN(IM) & EF cadres deployed in Chahong Khunou would have certainly felt threatened by the intensified operations and the prospect of an Assam Rifles strike.
