Yes you are! With so much money and power, why don't you try to get informed from deaf community & experts instead of spreading misinformation about basic accessibility standards.
Less than 1 % deaf people in India are able to fully understand the written language since the education system is pathetic, as the teachers & parents don't know sign language, or how to actually communicate with them. There's an epidemic of language deprivation and because people like you don't care to learn sign language or about sign language - you don't see how it negatively impacts millions of deaf children across the world. While hearing people get access to all kinds of information, they are completely unaware of how not even 1 % of that information ever reaches deaf community. Including sign language interpreters and captions is the bare minimum, there's an urgent need to prevent 'language deprivation', something that doesn't happen in hearing community (maybe once or twice in a 100 years), but is happening to more than 90 % deaf children across the world. Please use your money & power to do some good in the world, instead of harming or undoing all the work in the area of accessibility.
There's punishment for stealing money/ things with imprisonment or fine or both.
But no punishment for stealing language from millions of deaf children!!
Sign language rights are human rights!
#LanguageDeprivation has ruined generations of deaf people - STOP THIS NOW.
For years, there were no clear standards for Sign Language.
To overcome these difficulties, Indian Sign Language Research and Training Center was established in 2015.
Since then numerous efforts have been taken to spread awareness about Indian Sign Language. #MannKiBaat
