I used to think I had to leave Bethel to be myself. Today, I stood in the middle of Bethel Pride and told the next generation: You belong here.
Happy Pride, Bethel. 🌈
Excited to join the panel for the upcoming Salons at Stowe: Pride Month Forum on June 3rd at the Stowe Center for Literary Activism, an organization dedicated to advancing social justice through dialogue and civic engagement. Looking forward to an important conversation 🏳️🌈
Passed unanimously.
HB 5313 creates a path to track domestic violence cases across the system, from arrest through sentencing, so we can finally understand outcomes and strengthen accountability.
For Emily. For survivors.
Today I helped lead debate on the House floor and passed a bill to modernize CT’s fertility coverage laws.
Because people shouldn’t pay into coverage they can’t access. Period.
I had the chance to visit the after-school program at Kind Works a program I was proud to help fund. Kids come here after school to learn, make friends, and have a safe place to be. They handed me handwritten notes sharing what this place means to them. This is why I do the work.
This article highlights two different approaches to housing policy, building faster, & building safely. That’s why I introduced this bill to make sure safety review happens before approvals are granted when new construction methods are used. https://t.co/UhNaELiKry
Proud to help lead a bipartisan effort to expand access to fertility care in CT.
Too many people pay for coverage they can’t use, this bill fixes that and updates outdated laws. CT Families deserve better.

Let’s be clear:
This bill is not about targeting one developer, it’s about ensuring safety review happens before approvals.
And some testimony reflects earlier drafts, not the updated language we passed out of committee.
Last week, a bill I raised to strengthen safety review for certain housing developments was voted out of committee. The legislation grew directly out of concerns raised about the Vessel Technologies proposal in Bethel... https://t.co/5sqIfVsJa3
Wasn’t expecting this. Honored to be on the Spring 2026 cover of @ctvoicemag highlighting the work of the CT General Assembly's LGBTQ+ Caucus.
Proud to serve as Co-Chair and keep pushing for equality in our state. 🏳️🌈https://t.co/vX80L2Cdi8
With the legislative session starting next week, it was great to be at the Bethel Chamber Breakfast discussing health insurance, volunteer firefighters, and how CT can attract more business. Thanks to La Zingara for hosting and the delicious breakfast.
Spent time listening to constituents and area residents about what’s top of mind heading into the next legislative session from energy rates and federal funding to education and local issues. Grateful for the thoughtful questions, tough conversations, and community engagement.
Before the legislative session begins, come be part of the conversation. Hear from your local state legislators, ask questions, and share the issues you want us focused on this year at our Danbury Pre-Session Town Hall.
Spent time listening to Danbury educators about special ed, funding, overcrowding, and mental health. As our city grows, our schools need to keep up. Taking this back to Hartford.
When state law is unclear, bad actors exploit loopholes and families pay the price. After Stamford’s veto and new pet shops opening in western CT, it’s time for state action. Grateful to @CTExaminer for covering this.
